Integrative Massage & Healing Therapy
Therapeutic Touch • Somatic Awareness • Reiki & Spiritual Connection
Personalized, hands-on care to help ease pain and muscular tension, support more comfortable movement, and encourage relaxation.
More Than Massage
Pain, tension, restricted movement, fatigue, and stress can be invitations to slow down and listen more deeply.
Each session begins with you—how you are feeling, what you are experiencing, and what your body may need that day. Rather than following a fixed massage routine, I adapt the work to your comfort, movement, and response.
Your body determines the pace.
Your body is continually communicating.
A Session Shaped Around You
Your session may include:
Therapeutic Massage — to help soften muscular tension and support relaxation and greater comfort.
EMMETT Technique — using gentle, precise touch to invite changes in areas of tension and movement restriction.
CranioSacral Therapy — a gentle, hands-on approach using light touch to listen to subtle rhythms and areas of restriction within the craniosacral system.
Somatic Awareness & Movement — to help you notice sensation, muscular holding, and movement patterns from within.
Reiki & Energy Healing — as an optional invitation into relaxation, stillness, energetic balance, and spiritual connection.
Breath & Mindful Awareness — to support presence and allow the body to settle.
These approaches are not used according to a formula. They are thoughtfully woven together according to your needs, comfort, and response.
You may want therapeutic attention given to a particular area, or your body may be asking primarily for rest. You may welcome conversation and exploration, or you may need quiet.
Your body. Your needs. Your session.
Healing Through Body, Mind & Spirit
The body is more than muscles and tissue. Pain is not always only physical.
Our bodies may also carry the imprint of stress, stored emotions, past experiences, or trauma. Our emotional and spiritual well-being may influence how we experience pain, tension, and discomfort.
The body holds an innate wisdom. It has continually worked to protect us, help us adapt, and keep us moving through life—often in the best way it knew how.
Integrative Massage & Healing Therapy creates space to approach these connections with curiosity, compassion, and kindness—honoring all that your body has carried and listening with respect to what it may be communicating.
We listen. We explore. We invite.

Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
-
The brief online consultation gives us a chance to meet before your first session, talk about what you are experiencing, answer your questions, and make sure my approach is a good fit for your needs.
-
Your first appointment is scheduled for 90 minutes. I recommend allowing up to two hours so we have plenty of time and do not feel rushed.
We’ll begin with a conversation to review your intake information, talk about what you’re experiencing and what you hope to address, and answer any questions. From there, we’ll decide together how to approach your session that day.
-
No. Every part of the session is optional. Reiki, quiet reflection, breath, somatic awareness, or spiritual connection may be included if they feel right for you. No particular belief or spiritual tradition is required.
-
No. Massage and bodywork are offered only at my licensed home-based practice near Eastport in The Villages. I do not offer mobile or in-home massage. Private yoga is a separate offering and may be practiced in my healing space or brought to your home or another suitable location.
-
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a private appointment.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to a cancellation fee.
I understand that illness, emergencies, and unexpected circumstances can happen, and those situations may be considered individually.
This policy applies to both Private Somatic Yoga Therapy and Integrative Massage & Healing Therapy appointments.
Preparing for Your Massage Session
-
Come in comfortable clothing, preferably without belts, zippers, or restrictive items.
Depending on the work we are doing, you may remain fully clothed for the entire session or choose to undress to your comfort level, similar to a traditional massage. Before we begin, we’ll discuss the plan for that day, and you decide what feels most comfortable and supportive for you.
-
Please speak up. Your comfort matters. We take time at the beginning of your session to settle you comfortably on the table with appropriate positioning, bolsters, blankets, and other support. The body responds best when we begin from a place of comfort and ease.
If at any time your body tells you something needs to change—pressure, positioning, temperature, pace, quiet, or anything else—please let me know. Part of our work together is learning to listen to what your body needs to feel safe, supported, and at ease.
-
No. What your body needed during a previous session may not be what it needs today. Your body has its own language, and together we listen and tune in to what it is communicating in the moment.
There is no pre-designed session. Each treatment evolves around what your body is asking for that day.
-
Give your body time to rest and integrate the work. You may feel relaxed, tired, or simply a little different afterward. Rest as needed, and if movement feels good, a gentle walk or the somatic movements we practiced are fine.
Because changes from EMMETT Technique may continue to unfold for up to 72 hours, allowing time between treatments gives your nervous system an opportunity to respond and integrate the new sensory input. Whenever possible, I highly recommend allowing 48–72 hours before receiving other hands-on or therapeutic services, including chiropractic care, massage/bodywork, physical therapy, or energy work.
If you experience a new, worsening, or medically concerning symptom, seek appropriate medical guidance rather than assuming it is simply a response to bodywork.
-
Hands-on therapy can begin to invite new shifts—softening held tension, easing discomfort, and creating greater possibilities for comfortable movement. Somatic Yoga Therapy can be a natural continuation of that work, giving you movements and awareness practices you can use at home or continue through my private sessions and public offerings.
My goal is to help you develop a deeper relationship with your own body and practical tools you can return to again and again—not to create dependence on ongoing treatment, including treatment with me. Over time, you can become your own best teacher, learning to listen to, trust, and respond to the wisdom of your own body.
